BERRYVILLE -- Clarke County hosted Bull Run District rival Rappahannock County on Tuesday night and came out with a 5-1 boys soccer win.
The Eagles (11-5, 7-3 Bull Run) aren't finished with the Panthers, though: Clarke County will host Rappahannock County once more on Friday in the district tournament.
Clarke County is the tournament's No. 3 seed, and Rappahannock County is the tournament's No. 6 seed.
On Tuesday, Clarke County saw goals from five different players, four of which came in the run of play, and two of which were assisted.
Dennis Villanueva, Donald Tredway, Matt Moyer, Cody Sheaffer and Davey Hardesty all scored goals for the Eagles. Villanueva and Tredway had assists and Sheaffer scored on a penalty kick.
Clarke County keeper Zac Rogers had four saves and the Eagles took 33 shots on goal.
"Both teams played hard," Clarke County coach Andrew Porter said. "We were fortunate to come out with a win."
Pioneers 7, Hawks 0
FRONT ROYAL -- Ryan Runion and Michael Venegas each had two goals and an assist in the final regular-season match of their careers.
Alex Barrette had a goal and an assist, Stuart Hupp had two assists, and Julian Pantoja and Trae Drexler each scored goals.
Because Drexler played tennis for the Pioneers this season, his score was the first of his career.
Millbrook will play Skyline in the Northwestern District tournament play-in game at James Wood on Thursday. The tournament semifinal round will be held at James Wood on Saturday.
"I think the boys played hard, they played well, they took care of their opportunities," Millbrook coach Keith Kilmer said.
Millbrook keeper Brandon Seal had five saves in the shutout, and Millbrook outshot Skyline 23-5.
Madison County 9, Strasburg 1
STRASBURG -- The Rams (8-8, 2-8) capped off their regular season on a sour note, falling 9-1 to Madison County on Tuesday.
Lindsey Wheeler had a hat trick for the Mountaineers and teammate Rachel Strahan added two more. Four other players scored for Madison County, while Taylor Hill scored on an assist from Kiresten Campbell for Strasburg.
Yellow Jackets 13, Owls 3
FLINT HILL -- Randolph-Macon Academy's boys lacrosse team capped its season by winning its second consecutive Delaney Athletic Conference championship on May 6 with a 13-3 win against host Wakefield Country Day.
Austin Reeves led the Yellow Jackets with seven goals. Greg Stratton added three goals, Kevin Bufford had two and Cooper Bourdon had one for R-MA.
Goalkeeper Rasheed Oord tallied 18 saves in the game.
