R-MA alumnus nets debut TD

REGINA, Saskatchewan -- Former Randolph-Macon Academy standout Tim Maypray had an electrifying Canadian Football League debut on Thursday night.
Playing in his first game for the Montreal Alouettes, the rookie wide receiver/return specialist tallied a third-quarter touchdown when he returned a missed field goal 125 yards for a score against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Maypray, a 2006 R-MA graduate who played collegiately at Virginia Military Institute, finished the game with five kick returns for 118 yards (23.6 yards per carry), had a punt return for 12 yards, and added one carry for two yards.
Saskatchewan beat Montreal 54-51 in overtime.
