Hartbauer named Colonels' coach

WINCHESTER -- James Wood High School named Kristen Hartbauer as the school's head swimming coach on Tuesday.

Hartbauer, who has served as an assistant swim coach for the Colonels since 2008, replaces Mark Pennypacker, who resigned at the end of last season.

Hartbauer was a member of the Saint Vincent College swim team from 2003-2007 and served as team captain for two years. She was also a U.S. national swim team qualifier from 2005 to 2007. Hartbauer, who teaches at Apple Pie Ridge Elementary School, has also previously coached summer league swimmers in Sewickley, Pa.
