ELKTON -- Strasburg won the Region B cheerleading title on Saturday at East Rockingham High School.
The Rams finished with 230 points, followed by Manassas Park (226), Central (221.5) and East Rockingham (206.5).
Strasburg's Kara Richman was named the Region B Cheerleader of the Year and Strasburg's Anne Gorman was named Region B Coach of the Year.
Joining Richman on the All-Region B first team were Strasburg's Britany Polk and Brittany Bowers and Central's Rebecca Wells. Strasburg's Olivia Stout and Jordin See and Central's Anna Conlon and Megan Jones were each named to the second team.
Both Strasburg and Central will participate in the Group A cheerleading competition next Saturday at VCU. Doors open at 9 a.m. Admission is $10 per person.
