All-Area Boys Soccer Team

All-Area First Team

• Juan Luna, Stonewall Jackson -- Luna twice broke his collarbone this season, yet still scored 19 goals and added seven assists. He was named first team all-Shenandoah District, and first team all-Region B.

• Marshall Brill, Central -- Brill led the area with 31 goals, and he added 10 assists. In addition to being the Shenandoah District Player of the Year, he was named second team all-Region B.

• Eduardo Santiago, Handley -- The Judges junior was a unanimous selection on the Northwestern District's first team, having led Handley in points with 12 goals and five assists. He also made first team all-Group AA.

• Chris Barrette, Millbrook -- The Northwestern District Player of the Year scored 12 goals and had 12 assists in leading the Pioneers to the district tournament championship game.

• Spencer Marfing, James Wood -- Marfing, also a unanimous selection to the Northwestern District's first team, scored nine goals. His 12 assists is a James Wood single-season record.

• Stephen Hamrick, Central -- Bouncing between midfield and forward, Hamrick complemented Brill nicely, scoring 29 goals.

• Ed Juarez, Stonewall Jackson -- Only a sophomore, Juarez was voted team captain by his teammates. He was named first team all-Shenandoah District and second team all-Region B.

• Roberto Cardoso, Stonewall Jackson -- Cardoso's 19 goals is the most by a Stonewall Jackson freshman.

• Dylan Cherrix, Clarke County -- Cherrix ended his senior season as a first team all-Bull Run District and first team all-Region B honoree.

• Zac Gordon, Handley -- Gordon was named first team all-Northwestern District and second team all-Region B. His absence in the first half of Handley's regular season loss to Kettle Run was immediately evident.
