MADISON -- Central's Hayden Bauserman threw a touchdown pass to Kolton Poston with around eight minutes left in the game to give the Falcons a 17-14 win over Madison County on Friday night. The Falcons remain tied for first in the Bull Run District with William Monroe with one game left in the season. Central plays at Strasburg next week.
Central's Josh Gum recovered a fumble in the fourth quarter, which set-up Central's winning touchdown. Gum had two fumble recoveries and Matt Tingler had one for the Falcons (4-5, 4-1 Bull Run). Tyler Pattie had a touchdown run for Central, who trailed 14-10 in the fourth quarter.
"It was a game where we both played pretty decent," Central coach Mike Yew said. "The weather was definitely a factor. We weren't able to throw like we wanted to because of the weather."
