MOUTH OF WILSON -- Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy's boys basketball team knew it faced a stern test against perennial national power Oak Hill Academy, and that's just what the Patriots got.

Oak Hill sank four straight 3-pointers to open the contest and rolled from there, earning a 99-52 victory over SVCA.

The Warriors outscored the Patriots 31-8 in the first quarter and held a 57-27 lead at halftime.

For SVCA (32-10), Mamadou Sakho led the way with 12 points. Robin Moore added 10 points, while Brandon Pressley had six points and 15 rebounds, and Pape Mor Sall chipped in seven points and eight rebounds.

Jordan Adams, a UCLA signee, led Oak Hill with 16 points.

Millbrook 60, Briar Woods 49

ASHBURN -- Rze Culbreath and Donte Harris combined for 43 points to lead Millbrook to a 60-49 victory over Briar Woods on Tuesday in the Region II tournament quarterfinals.

Culbreath finished with a game-high 23 points, while Harris had 20 for Millbrook (16-6).

Boomer Kaczmarzewski added 10 points for the Pioneers.

Jacob Ryan had 16 points and Myles Tate added 14 for Briar Woods (18-7).

Dan River 55, Clarke County 33

DANVILLE -- The Eagles put up a fight in the first half, but couldn't keep up with the Wildcats in the second half of a Region B, Division 2 quarterfinal.

Clarke County trailed 23-17 at the half, but was outscored 17-8 in the third quarter. Connor Shendow led the Eagles (15-10) with 10 points. The Eagles were playing without their top scorers. Ethan Emmart and Todd Benton did not play due to undisclosed reasons according to Clarke County assistant coach Greg Grubbs.
