STANDARDSVILLE -- Central's season came to an end as the Falcons fell to William Monroe, 72-52, in the Bull Run District boys basketball tournament quarterfinals on Friday night.
The Falcons only trailed 31-24 at the half, but were outscored 23-8 in the third quarter.
Travis Cooper led the Falcons with 14 points, while Brandon Ritter had 11. Central finished the season 5-18. Gary Morris had 21 points for the Dragons.
Luray 72, Stonewall Jackson 29
LURAY -- The Generals started off slow and couldn't recover in a Shenandoah District tournament quarterfinal loss.
Stonewall Jackson managed only 14 points in the first three quarters. Hunter Smootz led the Generals (1-21) with eight points.
