SU roundup: Smith earns ODAC honors

FOREST -- Senior Amy Smith has been named ODAC Runner of the Week for the second straight week in selections announced Monday afternoon by the league office.

This is the third time this season that Smith has been honored by the ODAC.

This past week, competing at the Du Charme Invitational hosted by Dickinson College, Smith set new school records in all three events she competed in to help SU to a ninth-place showing.

Smith won the mile with a 5:18.71 before posting a third place showing in the 800 at 2:25.20.

She then completed outstanding day by anchoring the 4 x 400 meter relay team to a third place finish.

Jaclyn Mohlmann, Alicia Feliciano and Emily Cobb ran along with Smith to set the new school record with a 4:31.38.

Smith and her team are off this coming weekend and return to action on Feb. 19 at the Mason-Dixon Championships hosted by Christopher Newport University.
