Daily Staff Report - sports@nvdaily.com

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- The Shenandoah University men's golf team opened its participation Friday at the 41st Annual Marine Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate Golf Championships by shooting a collective 304.

Playing the par-70, 6110-yard Scarlet course, Shenandoah posted four scores in the 70s for the first time this spring.

Junior John Judy paced the Hornets with a four-over-par 74 while freshman Alex Tolley had a 76.

Derek Snarr and Zach Ramey rounded out the scoring golfers with a pair of 77s.

David Rynecki had a 78 that did not count toward the team total.

The Hornets will play the par-72 Gold course today with the tournament field split following the day's play. SU will play either the Scarlet or Gold course on Sunday in the final round depending upon its collective finish from the opening two rounds.
