Harlow leads Generals past Panthers

Stonewall Jackson's Colton Harlow threw a five-hitter and struck out eight to lead the Generals to a 3-1 Shenandoah District baseball win over Page County on Tuesday. The game was moved to Page County due to rain, but the Generals were the home team on the scoreboard.
Matt Litten went 3-for-3 with a double, and Daniel Buhl was 1-for-2 with two RBIs for the Generals (4-15, 2-11 Shenandoah).
William Monroe 9, Central 0
The visiting Falcons put up a fight against the Dragons, but still came up short in a Bull Run District loss.
Central (8-10, 3-9 Bull Run) had three his in the loss.
R-MA 10, Saint Michael 0, 6 innings
The homestanding Yellow Jackets advanced to the Delaney Athletic Conference semifinals with a win over Saint Michael. The game was called after six innings due to the mercy rule.
Neil Dutton went 2-for-4 with three steals, and Ian Cochran was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored for the Yellow Jackets (5-11). Jake Mellow was 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.
Liberty 3, Warren County 1
The Wildcats suffered a road loss to the Eagles in Evergreen District action.
Tyler Post went 1-for-3 with a run scored and two steals to lead the Wildcats (10-8, 3-3 Evergreen). Damien Wright and Eric Baker each went 1-for-3 for Warren County.
Softball
Warren County 3, Liberty 2
Nicole King struck out nine to lead the visiting Wildcats past the Eagles in Evergreen District action.
Taylor Bass went 2-for-3 with a home run and a single to lead the Wildcats (12-4, 3-3 Evergreen). Dominique Martin had an RBI single for the Wildcats.
Boys soccer
Clarke County 4, Strasburg 1
Davey Hardesty had three goals and an assist to lead homestanding Clarke County to a 4-1 victory over Bull Run District rival Strasburg in Berryville on Tuesday.
Connor Shendow added a goal and an assist for the Eagles.
Ben Marshall and Macson McGuigan added assists for Clarke County (12-1-1, 10-1-1).
Hardesty's goal off Shendow's assist put the Eagles up 1-0 in the 26th minute, but Strasburg pulled even on Levi Dofermire's goal off a Juan Jimenez-Mora assist as the game was tied 1-1 at halftime.
Rams goalkeeper Tyler Henry had seven saves, while Eagles keeper Alex Sefton finished with three saves.
