Prep roundup: Truban sparks Falcons to win

Central High School junior midfielder Stephen Truban delivered a goal and an assist as the visiting Falcons topped Bull Run District rival Strasburg 4-2 in boys soccer action on Tuesday.
Truban's goal was unassisted in the first half, and he came through with an assist on Franklin Hernandez's second-half goal.
Stephen Hamrick also had a first-half goal for the Falcons, and in the second half Central goalkeeper Jordan Umstead tallied a goal when coach Ted Poor let him play up front as a forward.
Central improved to 6-9-1 overall and 4-9-1 in district play.
Strasburg (1-13) got an unassisted goal from Sean Heyer. Darren Price had the Rams' other goal off an assist from Domenico Lubrano.
Clarke County 4, George Mason 2
Host Clarke County locked up the Bull Run District regular-season championship with a 4-2 boys soccer win over George Mason on Tuesday.
Davey Hardesty had two goals and two assists for Clarke County (14-1-1, 12-1-1 Bull Run).
Connor Shendow and Ben Marshall also added goals for the Eagles.
Goalkeeper Alex Sefton finished with eight saves for Clarke County, which outshot the Mustangs 12-9.
Eion Oosterbaan and Kurt Ellis notched goals for George Mason.
