Prep roundup: MMA crushes Quantico to secure winning season

Homestanding Massanutten Military Academy needed just five innings to lock up its first winning baseball season in years as the Colonels topped Quantico, 13-3, on Friday.

MMA got a strong pitching effort from sophomore Joe Gillette, who struck out 10 batters en route to improving his record to 7-2 this season.

Mitchell Killenger had a double and a sacrifice fly to finish with four RBIs for the Colonels. James Batzer added a 2-for-3 effort with four RBIs for MMA (8-7).
