2012 All-Area Girls Tennis Team

ALL-AREA TEAM
• Carol Ashley, Warren County -- Played at No. 1 singles and led the Wildcats to a 12-5 record this season. The junior guided the Wildcats to a third-place finish in the Evergreen District.
• Molly Barb, Central -- Barb won the Region B individual singles title. The senior advanced to the Group A individual singles state semifinals, and led the Falcons to their first district title in more than 10 years.
• Julie Hoverter, Skyline -- Playing at No. 1 singles, Hoverter led the Hawks to the Region II tournament. The junior helped lead the Hawks past Sherando in the Northwestern District tournament and into regionals.
• Brandee Kitzmiller, Warren County -- Playing at No. 2 singles, Kitzmiller was a key part of the Wildcats' 12-win season. The senior helped the Wildcats go undefeated outside of the district.
• Margaret Moomaw, Stonewall Jackson -- Moomaw played at No. 1 singles and led the Generals to a 9-6 record. The junior helped the Generals to a third-place finish in the Shenandoah District.
• Sarah Wolfe, Sherando -- Wolfe capped off her outstanding career with another strong season for the Warriors. Wolfe led Sherando to a second-place finish in the regular season in the Northwestern District, and also advanced to regionals in singles and doubles.
