VBL roundup 6-24: River Bandits top Rebels

Woodstock took advantage of its opportunities and pulled out a 5-4 road win over New Market in Valley Baseball League action on Sunday night.
The River Bandits (10-10) used nine hits to help score their five runs. Scott Burkett went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI to lead the Bandits. Miles Williams went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI for Woodstock.
Matt Dickason went 2-for-5 with an RBI, and Justin Lacy went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Rebels (8-10).
Harrisonburg 11, Strasburg 4
A six-run eighth helped Harrisonburg pull away for an 11-4 win over Strasburg on Sunday in Harrisonburg.
Josh Gardiner led the Express (7-13) with a 3-for-5 performance at the plate. Jackson Boyd also had a home run for Strasburg.
