Host Haymarket snapped a two-game losing streak with a 4-3 home victory over Front Royal in Monday's Valley Baseball League action.
The two teams traded single runs in the first, second and sixth innings to make the Senators' single run in the hold up as the difference.
Patrick Wiese plated Nick Beall with the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth -- Beall had led off with a double.
Bryce Williams and James Alfonso had two hits each for the Cardinals, with Beall doing the same for Haymarket.
Luray 3, Strasburg 2
Luray won its second straight with a 3-2 North Division win over Strasburg.
After George Smith tied it for the Express with a solo home run in the top of the ninth, Blake Headley won it for the Wranglers with a walk-off single in the bottom of the frame.
Headley's single plated Orlando Olivera, who had led off the Luray ninth with a single to left.
Erik Armstrong also had a home run for Strasburg.
Winchester 17, Woodstock 3
Jimmy Yezzo went 3 for 5 with six RBIs as Winchester pounded Woodstock, 17-3.
Yezzo had two home runs among his three hits.
Josh Powers tossed six innings of shutout ball to help the Royals to the win.
Cody Harris led the River Bandits with two hits.
Winchester also turned a triple play in the fifth inning.
