Front Royal's 10-11 year-old all-star team won its first game in the state tournament held at Poquoson on Thursday.
Front Royal beat Cave Spring American from District 12, 14-3 in four innings. They play Big Stone Gap Friday and Louisa on Saturday.
Strasburg's 11-12 year-old all-stars play at Portsmouth against Abingdon at 10 a.m. on Friday.
