Daily Staff Report - sports@nvdaily.com

Rebel Park sustained serious damage as a result of Friday night's storm according to a press release from the New Market Rebels.

As a result the Rebels game with Convington on Sunday was postponed. No decison has been made about today's game with Luray.

According to the press release, the third base grandstand was lifted into the air and fell along the foul line, and appears to be a total loss. The netting along the third base foul line was pulled down as was a pole, which had two public address speakers on it. The press release said there appeared to be no serious damage to the field.

Rebel fans are urged to consult the Rebels' website at www.rebelsbaseball.biz or @NMRebels on Twitter for the latest information.
