Woodstock salvaged a split of a doubleheader with Haymarket with a 6-5 victory in the second game on Sunday in Valley Baseball League action. Haymarket won the first game 2-0.
Trailing 3-0 after Haymarket scored three runs in its first at-bat, the River Bandits got back in it with two in the second and then scored one in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh.
Tyler Mims had the game-winning RBI on a two-out single in the seventh.
Kennan Cook and Patrick Wiese both had two hits for the Senators.
Andrew Williams drove in a pair for Woodstock.
Haymarket's John Williams threw a complete game three-hit shutout in the first game.
Williams struck out four and walked two while giving up singles in the third, fifth and sixth innings.
Ford Stainback drove in both runs for the Senators.
Luray 5, Front Royal 4
Visiting Luray rallied for a 5-4 victory at Front Royal.
The Cardinals appeared to be in total control after scoring one run in the fourth and three in the sixth to take a 4-0 lead, but the Wranglers had an answer.
Luray sent 11 men to the plate in the eighth, scoring five runs, to steal the victory.
Three of the Wranglers runs in the frame were unearned.
Jordan Lee had two hits and Keaton Neeb two RBI for Front Royal.
Robby Campbell paced the victors with two hits and an RBI in five at-bats.
