Senior offensive lineman Jacob Brent leads a group of four Shenandoah University players earning preseason accolades from USA football in selections announced Friday by the organization.

Brent, a three-year starter at left tackle, was named second team All-America while classmate Nick Erdman was named pre-season All-South Region along with juniors Josh Rogers and Byron Mitchell.

Brent earned first team All-USA South honors last season after helping SU to a 6-4 overall record in the Hornets final season in the league.

Prior to this season, he, Rogers and Mitchell were named pre-season All-America by Beyond Sports Network.
