BASEBALL

Baltimore Orioles Bus Trip

The Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a bus trip to Camden Yards on Sept. 7 to see the Baltimore Orioles host the New York Yankees.

Tickets are $65 per person and seats are in section 386. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

The bus leave from the Woodstock Lowe's parking lot at 1 p.m. and return around midnight.

Deadline to register is Aug. 24

BASKETBALL

WCMS Girls Basketball Camp

In conjunction with Warren County Middle School, the Warren County Parks and Recreation Department will be sponsoring a Girls Basketball Camp for girls in 6th through 8th grade at the Warren County Middle School Gym on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 9 am.-3 p.m.

Cost is $25 per participant.

BRIDGE

Valley Bridge Club

The Valley Bridge Club invites you to join them on Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m.-noon through Sept. 25 at the County Government Center, Room 100A.

The club is for players age 21 and over.

CORNHOLE

Post 53 Baseball Cornhole Tournament

The Post 53 Baseball Cornhole Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 1 at the Front Royal VFW.

Cost is $40 per team. Pre-registration begins at 9:30 a.m., or call Missy in advance at (540) 305-5543.

First prize is $200, and second prize is $100 in the double-elimination tournament. Hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks will be sold at the event.

GOLF

Half Lit Classic

The Front Royal Rotary presents the inaugural Half Lit Classic on Aug. 31 at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.

The event, a beer tasting, dinner and moonlight golf tournament, opens with nine holes of conventional daylight golf, followed by an Italian dinner, micro-brew tasting and a silent auction. Next comes nine holes of Glow Golf.

Contests include long drive, closest to the pin, silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

Entry fee for individual golfers is $85, or $320 for a foursome.

GYMNASTICS

Gymnastics program

The Warren County Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for their gymnastics classes for those ages 4 years and older. Beginner through Advance classes will be available, and class times vary.

Classes will be held at the Warren County Health & Human Services Complex (old Warren County Middle School) gym on Saturdays, Sept. 8 through Oct. 27.

Cost is $80 per child (includes uniform), with a 20 participant limit per class.

Registrations are only accepted at the Warren County Community Center, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sundays, 1 p.m.-9 p.m. and will only be accepted until Aug. 26 or classes reach limit.

RUGBY

LFCC Skills Clinic

The Lord Fairfax Community College men's and women's rugby teams will host a skills clinic on Aug. 29 at the LFCC Middletown Campus.

The clinic will be led by Eric Miller, a former player for the British Lions and Ireland National teams and a coach for Leinster, and James Madison University men's rugby coach Mark Lambourne.

The clinic runs from 4 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

WRESTLING

Next Level Wrestling Club

In conjunction with Warren County High School, the Warren County Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the Warren County Next Level Wrestling Club for grades K through 12 at Warren County High School on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The club will run through Nov. 29 and is free of charge.
