Hood College made an early goal stand up in a 1-0 non-league men's soccer victory over Shenandoah University on Tuesday afternoon.
Shenandoah (2-4) dominated play against the Blazers (2-0-2), but it was Hood that scored the game's lone goal on a David Langan tally in the eighth minute.
SU had a 22-6 advantage in shots, including 8-2 on goal, but could not find the equalizer.
Shenandoah is back in action Saturday in its first-ever ODAC game. The Hornets host Virginia Wesleyan in an 11 a.m. contest on the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf.
