WINCHESTER -- Shenandoah couldn't handle a strong passing game from Guilford in a 20-7 loss on Saturday.
The Quakers threw for 223 yards, and had 99 yards on the ground in the victory.
Shenandoah started off well, as a 54-yard pass from Corey Taylor to Qiydaar Murphy gave SU a first-and-goal at the Guilford 8. However, the Hornets had only 152 yards of offense after that play. They were unable to score on their first possession, and were down 20-0 before finally getting on the scoreboard.
Taylor threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Rigo Salguero in the fourth quarter. Taylor was 11-for-24 for 124 yards passing.
