Undefeated Strasburg had a tough time on the road against George Mason on Friday night.
The Rams found themselves tied with the Mustangs at the half, before turning things around in the second half for a 38-20 Bull Run District win.
The game was tied 6-6 at the half, but the Rams (7-0, 3-0) scored three touchdowns in the third quarter for a 30-6 lead.
Strasburg running back Rakwon White ran for 214 yards on 18 carries and had two touchdowns. Strasburg quarterback Troy Gordon was 4-for-5 for 114 yards through the air, including a 58-yard touchdown pass to Shawn Owens.
Central 62, William Monroe 21
The Falcons had little trouble picking up a road win over the Dragons on Friday night.
Daniel Molina ran for 287 yards and had two rushing touchdowns to lead the Falcons (5-2, 2-1). Molina also had a 68-yard punt return for the Falcons. Central quarterback Hayden Bauserman was 8-for-14 for 210 yards and three touchdowns. Travis Cooper had four receptions for 115 yards and three touchdowns. The Falcons were coming off a loss to Manassas Park last week.
"We played really well on offense," Central coach Mike Yew said. "Nothing against Manassas Park, but we really felt like we let one get away last week. It was good to get back on track and now we'll try to finish strong."
MMA 70, Carson Long Military 0
Visiting Massanutten Military Academy romped to a 70-0 football victory over Carson Long Military Academy on Friday in New Bloomfield, Pa.
MMA quarterback Kenya Ray-Abrams was 9 for 11 passing for 231 yards and five touchdowns, and rushed for 61 yards and another touchdown.
"We got up on them early, so we were able to play everybody," Colonels coach Chris Gilliland said. "It was good to get some of the young guys in and get them some experience."
MMA (2-4) also got a huge defensive performance from junior Houston Walls, who three times returned interceptions for touchdowns. Walls also had 58 rushing yards.
Also for the Colonels, junior wide receiver Travis Fulgham had three catches for 163 yards and three touchdowns, and Chase McDevitt added two catches for 30 yards and two TDs.
R-MA 28, Fishburne 12
Andre Lake ran for a pair of touchdowns as visiting Randolph-Macon Academy topped Fishburne Military School 28-12 on Friday in Waynesboro.
Lake got the scoring started with a 6-yard touchdown run. R-MA's Ryan Pile put the Yellow Jackets up by two touchdowns with a 3-yard quarterback sneak.
Lake got his second touchdown on a 60-yard run to help R-MA (3-3, 2-1 Patriot) take a 21-0 lead into the half.
Kevin Slaton tacked on one last touchdown on a 45-yard run in the third quarter for the Yellow Jackets.
Lake finished with 12 carries for 125 yards and 2 TDs. Slaton had eight carries for 172 yards and 1 TD.
