Christendom roundup: Bison roll past Crusaders

WASHINGTON -- Orion Palmer's 16-point effort paced host Gallaudet to a 77-38 victory over Christendom in men's basketball action on Tuesday.
Palmer finished with a double-double for Gallaudet (2-1) by grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds. The Bison had four players score in double digits. Joining Palmer were Layton Seeber (12 points), Danny Kelly (11) and Tyler Crace (11). Gallaudet forced 28 turnovers while only committing 12 in the win.
Christendom (0-5) was paced by Jeremy Minick's 16 points. Minick also tied Micah Davis for team-high honors in rebounding with six boards. Brian McCrum added nine points for the Crusaders.
Women's basketball
Gallaudet 69, Christendom 29
WASHINGTON -- Host Gallaudet used a huge second-half effort to pull away for a 69-29 victory over visiting Christendom in women's basketball action on Tuesday.
Gallaudet (1-0) led 35-22 at halftime, but outscored the Crusaders 34-7 over the final 20 minutes to record the lopsided victory.
Lindsay Stergio had 16 points to lead the Bison, who outrebounded Christendom (1-2) 46-23 in the contest. Amy Bachtel added nine points for Gallaudet.
Bridget Vander Woude tallied 13 points to lead the Crusaders. Morgan Kavanagh added 12 points for Christendom.
