FIRST TEAM
• Ashton Davis, Stonewall Jackson
The junior finished fourth in the Group A state meet with a time of 20:02. Davis, competing in cross country for the first time, also finished second in the Shenandoah District meet.
• Kayla Gibbons, Warren County
The senior placed 26th in the Group AA meet with a time of 19:48. Gibbons won the Evergreen District meet and placed fifth in the Region II meet. She helped the Wildcats finish second in the district.
• Kirsten Campbell, Strasburg
The senior helped lead the Rams to a third-place finish in the Group A state meet. Campbell finished 11th in the state meet in a time of 20:31. She finished second in the district meet.
• Lexi Keller, Central
The freshman had a steller first year at the varsity level. Keller placed 19th in the Group A state meet in a time of 20:52. She helped guide the Falcons to a fourth place finish in regionals.
• Rachel Oden, Warren County
The junior helped lead the Wildcats to a second-place finish in the Evergreen District meet with 40 points. Oden placed second in the district meet, behind Gibbons, with a time of 20:14.
• Katie Ritenour, Central
The senior placed third in the Bull Run District meet with a time of 20:55. Ritenour finished sixth in the Region B meet with a time of 20:52. She led the Falcons to fourth in the Region B meet.
• Sarah Elbon, Strasburg
The senior placed 24th in the Group A state meet in a time of 21:01. Elbon helped the Rams finish third in the Group A state meet. She also helped the team win the Bull Run District meet.
COACH OF THE YEAR
• Jeff Rudy, Strasburg
Rudy guided the Rams to a third-place finish at the Group A state meet. They also were third at the Region B meet. The Rams won their first district meet title since 1994.
