2012 All-Area Golf Team

FIRST TEAM

• Andrew Good, Stonewall Jackson
The junior shot a 76 at the Region B tournament to advance to states. Good shot a two-day total of 127 at the Group A state tournament, and finished with a 76.7 average for the year.

• Chris Slater, Sherando
The senior helped the Warriors to a second-place finish in the Northwestern District tournament. He shot a 76 in the Region II tournament, but lost in a playoff in an effort to qualify for states.

• Tyler Doman, Strasburg
The junior shot an 80 to lead the Rams to a second-place finish in the Bull Run District tournament. Doman shot an 84 at the Region B tournament, where the Rams placed seventh.

• Joe Dawkins, Skyline
The senior shot an 89 in the Northwestern District tournament to qualify for regionals. He helped the Hawks finish fourth as a team. Dawkins shot an 83 in the Region II
tournament.

• Ben Kline, Central
The junior shot a 72 to win the "Most Outstanding Performer" honors at the Bull Run District tournament. He led the Falcons to a fourth-place finish at the district tournament, and shot an 85 at regionals.

• Jonathan Koontz, Stonewall Jackson
The sophomore helped lead the Generals to a fifth-place finish in the Region B tournament. Koontz shot an 85 at regionals. He helped lead the team to the district
regular season title.

COACH OF THE YEAR

• Roger Wilkins, Stonewall Jackson
Wilkins guided the Generals to the Shenandoah District regular season title. The Generals qualified for regionals, and placed fifth in the Region B tournament.
