JMU roundup: Dukes crush Maine in women's hoops

James Madison University took control midway through the first half and didn't look back in an 88-34 women's basketball victory over Maine.

The Dukes used a 27-11 run to close the first half to build a 40-24 halftime lead. JMU outscored Maine 48-10 in the second half.

JMU was led by Tarik Hislop with 14 points and four assists. The Dukes had six players in double figures. Kirby Burkholder had 13 points and six rebounds, and Destiny Jones had 12 points for the Dukes. Toia Giggetts, Precious Hall and Jasmine Gill had 10 points each for JMU (5-6).
