Host Stonewall Jackson lost a halftime lead, then gained it back in the fourth quarter to top visiting Luray, 38-35, in Shenandoah District girls basketball action on Thursday.
The Generals led 21-20 at the break, but Luray (6-4, 1-3 district) inched ahead by outscoring Stonewall Jackson (4-5, 2-2) 10-7 in the third quarter.
Stonewall regrouped by holding the Bulldogs to just five points over the final eight minutes.
Hannah Stout led the Generals with 12 points. Michaela Koontz and Emily Jordan added eight points apiece.
For Luray, Sable Ponn had a team-high 11 points.
Strasburg 59, George Mason 52
Visiting Strasburg got a double-double effort from Jonathan Kloosterman en route to a 59-52 win over Bull Run District rival George Mason on Friday in Falls Church.
The Rams trailed 28-20 at halftime, but tied the game in the third by outscoring the Mustangs 15-7 in that stretch.
Kloosterman finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Rams.
Also for Strasburg (8-1, 3-1 Bull Run), Tyler Hott had 16 points.
Manassas Park 74, Central 68
Visiting Central couldn't withstand Manassas Park's long-range shooting in a 74-68 loss in Bull Run District action on Thursday.
Manassas Park (5-3, 2-2 Bull Run) drained nine 3-pointers in the victory. Derek Appleton had four treys to finish with 14 points, Myles Durr sank three 3-pointers among his 20 points, and Douglas Leonard hit a pair of 3s and finished with 12 points. Also for the Cougars, Nasser Smith had 19 points.
Central (3-5, 1-3 Bull Run) got a 25-point effort from Travis Cooper. Brandon Ritter chipped in 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds, and Richard Neff added 13 points, including three 3-pointers, for the Falcons.
