JMU roundup: Dukes' home game moved up a day

Daily Staff Report - sports@nvdaily.com

James Madison's men's basketball home game originally scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m., has been moved to Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m., following approval from both involved teams and the Colonial Athletic Association on Friday.

The game was originally slated for television coverage on Comcast SportsNet in the Thursday evening time slot. However, with television coverage no longer scheduled for the game, both teams agreed it would be more suitable for travel considerations and playing conditions to accommodate the more standard Wednesday/Saturday league scheduling format.

JMU is 9-9 overall and 3-2 in the league heading into Saturday's noon game at second-place Towson. Delaware is 8-9 and 3-1 in the league prior to Saturday's game against first-place Northeastern. The Dukes will carry a three-game home winning streak into Wednesday's 7 p.m. contest against the Blue Hens.

All tickets and parking passes for the Delaware game dated for Jan. 24 should be used for the Jan. 23 rescheduled contest. Tickets are still available by calling the JMU ticket office at 540-568-3853 or ordering online at JMUSports.com.
