Rizzari, Reed lead Warriors past Colonels

Sherando High School's Dani Rizzari and Lauren Reed scored 15 points apiece to lead the Warriors to a 54-48 victory over Northwestern District rival James Wood on Friday in Winchester.
Reed hit a pair of 3-pointers and Rizzari had one Sherando, which trailed 29-28 at halftime.
Jessica Hakel and Heidi Brown added seven points apiece for the Warriors.
Central 58, William Monroe 40
Homestanding Central got a 26-point effort from Katelyn Poston in Friday night's 58-40 victory over Bull Run District rival William Monroe.
Poston hit three 3-pointers in the win for Central (7-3, 2-3 Bull Run). She also had a team-best two assists.
Mary Wakeman added nine points, Meredith Phillips and Cianne Fields had eight apiece, and Allison Bright tallied seven points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Falcons.
Madison County 47, Strasburg 37
Chandler Gentry scored 27 points to lead Madison County past Strasburg in Bull Run District action in Madison.
The Rams led throughout most of the first half, until a Mountaineers' run helped give them a 27-23 halftime lead. Kenzy McKelvey had nine points to lead the Rams (2-9, 2-3 Bull Run). Mikala Alsberry had eight points and five rebounds for Strasburg. The Mountaineers outrebounded the Rams, 38-19.
"We played a lot better tonight than we did Wednesday [a 41-22 loss to Page County]," Strasburg coach Joel Morgan said. "Gentry really played well for them."
Page County 42, Stonewall Jackson 37
Visiting Stonewall Jackson dropped a 42-37 decision to Page County in Shenandoah District action on Friday.
Hannah Stout tallied 13 points to lead the Generals, who fell to 4-7 overall and 2-3 in district play.
Caitlin Viafora and Makayla Smith scored 11 points apiece to lead the Panthers (7-5, 2-3 Shenandoah).
