Shenandoah University senior designated hitter Nick Beall has been named a preseason All-American in selections announced Tuesday by D3baseball.com.
Beall is a two-time first-team All-USA South selection and was named to the first-team All-South Region by D3baseball.com last season. Last season, Beall hit .421 with 12 doubles, one triple, two home runs and 35 RBIs in 145 at-bats.
Beall's selection marks the fourth straight season that Shenandoah has had a player selected as a preseason All-American, as Greg Van Sickler (2010 and 2011), Kevin Brashears (2011) and Kyle Scallion (2012) also achieved the honor.
