First team
• Danielle Barr, Central
The junior posted third-place finishes in both the 100 freestyle and 200 IM at the Bull Run District meet, and was third in the 100 free and fourth in the 200 IM at the Region B meet for the Falcons.
• Quinn Blankenship, R-MA
The freshman earned all-Delaney Athletic Conference honors after winning the 500 freestyle and taking third in the 200 IM at the DAC championship meet. She led the area in the 500 freestyle.
• Kelsey Dingman, Sherando
The junior notched a seventh-place finish in the 50 free and 14th in the 100 free at the state meet. Won the Northwestern District titles in both events, and was second in the 50 in the Region II meet.
• Christina Lee, Sherando
The senior won a Northwestern District title in the 200 free and finished second in the 100 butterfly. She was ninth in the fly and 12th in the 200 free at the Region II meet and earned a state bid.
• Brenna Sharp, Sherando
The junior finished second in 100 free and fourth in the 100 back at the Northwestern District meet. She was 18th in the 100 back and 21st in the 100 free at the Region II meet.
Joe Knight, Sherando, Coach of the Year
Led Sherando's girls team to its fourth straight Northwestern District championship. Sherando took ninth in the Region II meet and placed four girls in the state meet.
