The Shenandoah University baseball team is the nation's No. 12 team in two different ranking polls released Tuesday morning.
The Hornets, winners of two of three games last week, drop one spot to the No. 12 in the D3baseball.com week five poll while maintaining their No. 12 position in the second ABCA poll of the 2013 season.
SU has 279 points to edge Keystone (Pa.) for the No. 12 spot in the D3baseball.com poll.
In the ABCA poll, SU has 243 points to find itself between Wheaton (Mass.) and Haverford (Pa.).
Linfield (Ore.) is the new No. 1 in both polls. The Wildcats have 575 points and nine of 25 first place votes in the D3baseball poll and 433 points and five first place votes in the ABCA poll.
Shenandoah is back in action Wednesday at Bridgewater in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest.
ATHENS, Ohio -- The Shenandoah women's lacrosse team is once again among a group of teams receiving top 20 consideration in poll results released Tuesday by the IWLCA.
The Hornets are now 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the ODAC after defeating Roanoke 14-11 Sunday afternoon.
Shenandoah has won five straight games since losing 17-9 at now No. 20 Washington College on March 9.
SU originally appeared as a team receiving voting consideration that week after having downed then No. 14 Mary Washington 10-9 in the season opener on Feb. 27.
Shenandoah is back in action Wednesday in a 7 p.m. non-league game against McDaniel.
