SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Host Susquehanna beat Shenandoah University 15-6 in a non-league men's lacrosse match-up on Thursday afternoon.
The loss ended a three-game winning streak to open the season for the Hornets.
Sean Ohlhaver opened the match with a goal to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead, but the Crusaders (3-2) answered with nine straight goals, which helped them take a 9-3 lead into halftime. Shenandoah (3-1) did not get closer than five goals for the remainder of the contest.
Ohlhaver led the Hornets with two goals and an assist. Tyler Quinn had seven saves for the Hornets.
Susquehanna held a 40-24 advantage in shots and scooped up 35 of the game's 64 groundballs. Shenandoah won 15 of 24 faceoffs, including 7 of 11 in the second half.
The Hornets will host SUNYIT on Sunday at 1 p.m.
