FOREST -- Sophomore midflelder Liz Bereit has been named Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week for women's lacrosse in selections announced Monday by the league office.

Bereit led the Hornets to ODAC wins over Washington and Lee and Sweet Briar last week with a total of five goals and three assists for eight points.

She also contributed two groundballs, four draw controls and two caused turnovers.

In Wednesday's 11-7 win over pre-season favorite W&L, Bereit had two goals and three assists. The Latrobe, Pa., native then backed it up with a game-high three goals and two assists for five points in Saturday's 11-5 victory at Sweet Briar.

For the season, Bereit has 28 goals and 16 assists for 44 points.

She is the first SU lacrosse player, male or female, to be named ODAC PoW.

Shenandoah is back in action on Wednesday night at 7 p.m., in an ODAC contest against Randolph.
