Prep roundup: Harlow leads Generals to baseball win

LURAY -- Stonewall Jackson's Colton Harlow delivered a strong all-around effort to lead the Generals to a 10-1 baseball win over homestanding Luray in Shenandoah District action on Wednesday.

Harlow started on the mound and delivered a complete game for Stonewall, allowing only three hits and a run while striking out 11.

At the plate, Harlow had three hits for Stonewall Jackson (5-11, 3-7 Shenandoah).

Jared Getz also had three hits, including a double, for the Generals. Also for Stonewall, Trey Alger had two hits, one a double, and drove in three runs, Kory Somers chipped in two hits and Anthony Peacher added an RBI double.

Sherando 9, Millbrook 2

WINCHESTER -- Visiting Sherando won the Northwestern District regular-season title outright with a 9-2 victory over Millbrook on Wednesday.

Reid Entsminger pitched six innings for the win, allowing four hits and two runs (one earned) while walking five and striking out four.

John Bentley, won pitched a scoreless seventh, was 2-for-3 at the plate for Sherando (16-1, 10-0 Northwestern).

Connor Stevenson had a big day for Sherando, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI. Also for the Warriors, Justin Angel was 2-for-4 with an RBI.
