DELAWARE, OHIO - Senior Jaclyn Mohlmann posted a school record performance Tuesday in the heptathlon in her final attempt at qualifying for the NCAA National Championships.
Coming into the day with 2,651 points, Mohlmann had the best day two of her career with 1,752 points to give her a school record 4,403 in the event.
The total score is currently 22nd in the nation with the top 22 in the country earning a trip to the national championships.
Mohlmann began her record day with a school record in the long jump, 4.92 meters, before tossing the javelin a personal best 31.45 meters.
She earned 538 points in the long jump and 504 in the javelin.
Mohlmann then completed her day with a 2:21.72 in the 800 meters for an even 800 points.
She finished second of 11 competitors in the event, had four personal bests and two school records in the seven events and the record-breaking total score is the third time she has broken the school mark this spring.
The NCAA bids will be officially announced Sunday.
