WINCHESTER – Shenandoah University softball coach Marlena Kotynski announced her program’s 2014 schedule Friday morning.

Kotynski, who led her Hornets to an Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament championship game appearance this past spring, has six home dates on the docket for next spring.

After opening up with perennial power Messiah on Feb. 22, Kotynski’s club will take to the road until the end of March when it hosts ODAC foe Virginia Wesleyan on March 30.

This doubleheader starts a string of 10 straight home games — the Hornets will host Bridgewater, Roanoke, Emory & Henry and Sweet Briar in ODAC contests in the first two weeks of April.

The SBC doubleheader, on April 13, wraps up the home schedule.

SU has road conference doubleheaders at Eastern Mennonite, Randolph, Lynchburg, Guilford and Randolph-Macon while also taking on Christopher Newport, Catholic, Mary Washington and Averett in road non-conference contests.

The squad will also play in the VWC Beach Blast as well as one additional in-season tournament.
