FOREST -- The Shenandoah University women's teams paced the department in the final 2012-13 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup results released Friday afternoon by the league office.
The SU women, on the strength of a second place finish for lacrosse this spring, earned 53.5 of a possible 106 points for a .505 rating to finish seventh of the 13 full-time ODAC institutions.
The rating is determined via formula based upon championship sports offered by each institution and that school's finish in each championship sport.
In addition to the 9.5 points from coach Lindsey Lutz' lacrosse team, seven points each from soccer and hoops and 6.5 points from softball led the women's effort.
The Shenandoah men finished 11th in their race with baseball and its 9.5 points leading the way.
In the overall cup, the department finished ninth.
