2013 All-Area Boys Tennis Team

First Team

• Matt Blaney, Sherando

The junior helped lead the Warriors to an 11-8 record this season. Blaney played at No. 2 singles for the Warriors, and advanced to the Region II doubles tourney with Chris Mikus.

• Bobby Loveland, Central

The sophomore played at No. 1 singles for the Falcons this year. Loveland used his solid all-around game to help lead the Falcons to an 8-3 record and a second-place district finish.

• Chris Mikus, Sherando

The senior was the Region II individual singles runner-up and also advanced in doubles. Mikus, who played No. 1 singles, led the Warriors to a second-place finish in the Northwestern District.

• Kyler Racey, Skyline

The junior finished third in singles in the Northwestern District regular season. He helped Skyline to a fourth-place finish in the district, while playing at No. 1 singles for the Hawks.

• Colbey Ryman, Central

The senior played at No. 2 singles for the Falcons this season. Ryman helped lead Central to a second-place finish in the Bull Run District, and to an 8-3 record this season.

• Tyler Wright, Warren County

The junior played at No. 1 singles this season for the Wildcats. Wright helped lead the team to a fourth-place finish in the Evergreen District. He also helped lead them to a big 5-4 win over rival Skyline.
