WINCHESTER -- Shenandoah University baseball coach Kevin Anderson announced his team's 2014 schedule Tuesday morning.
Anderson, who will enter the 2014 campaign needing 11 wins for 300 victories as the SU skipper, has 26 home games scheduled for next spring.
The Hornets open on Feb. 15 with a home non-league doubleheader against 2013 NCAA regional participant Misericordia before hosting Mount Aloysius in another non-league game on Sunday to complete the weekend.
These three games are the start of a seven-game homestand to start the year -- Anderson's club does not play on the road until making the short trip down Route 17 to take on Mary Washington in Fredericksburg on Feb. 26.
Following that 3 p.m. game, the Hornets begin a string of nine straight home games with an Old Dominion Athletic Conference doubleheader against Roanoke on March 1.
In addition to the Maroons, Shenandoah hosts Guilford, Randolph-Macon and Emory & Henry in Saturday ODAC doubleheaders.
SU will play home-and-home league series with Bridgewater and Eastern Mennonite in the middle of the week while traveling to Hampden-Sydney, Virginia Wesleyan and Lynchburg for Saturday doubleheaders.
The league finale, against Washington and Lee on April 15, will be played as a mid-week doubleheader.
As part of the non-league slate, Shenandoah hosts Muhlenberg, coached by Shenandoah graduate Tod Gross, in addition to Susquehanna, Penn State-Altoona, Dickinson, Mary Washington, Gallaudet, Franklin & Marshall, Wesley, Messiah, Frostburg State and Elizabethtown.
Anderson is also just 14 wins from his 450th victory as a collegiate head coach.
