WINCHESTER — Shenandoah University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Doug Zipp announced Thursday a class of 12 student-athletes that are planning on participating in men’s lacrosse at SU.
These 12 players were recruited by former coach Mike Kruger, who resigned his position last month to become the defensive coordinator at the University of Vermont.
Kruger and his staff recruited eight short sticks, three long sticks and one goalkeeper to add to 22 men expected to return from the 2013 team.
This group represents three states with seven coming from Maryland, three from Virginia and two from New Jersey.
Shenandoah opens up its 2014 season on Feb. 15 with a non-league game at Southern Virginia.
