Daily Staff Report - sports@nvdaily.com

SKILLMAN, N.J. - Two Shenandoah University women's tennis players have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors in selections announced recently by the organization.

Rising junior Kayla Green and rising sophomore and Central graduate Molly Barb were both honored by the organization for having at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale for the past academic year.

Honorees must also have earned a varsity letter to be eligible for the award.

Barb, a Kinesiology major, had a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2012-13 while playing No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles for the Hornets. She had a co-team-high nine singles victories and posted six doubles wins.

Green is a pre-Physical Therapy major and has a 3.62 cumulative GPA in her two years at SU. This past season, two of her three victories came in the middle of the singles lineup.

Shenandoah opens its fall season in mid-September.
