Daily Staff Report - sports@nvdaily.com

WINCHESTER -- Shenandoah University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Doug Zipp announced Tuesday that Quintrel Lenore has been added to the staff as head strength and conditioning coach.

Lenore, the second-ever head strength coach at SU, comes to Shenandoah University after serving an 11-month stint as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at James Madison University.

With the Dukes, Lenore worked with the softball, track & field, cross country and women's tennis programs and was also a teaching assistant in the Kinesiology department.

"We are very fortunate to have Quintrel join our team," Zipp stated in a school news release. "Our coaches view the the strength and conditioning position as an essential piece of the puzzle to building a championship program and Quintrel has the experience and skills to assist our student-athletes in their development.

"The committee and coaching staff were both very impressed with Quintrel when he made his two visits to Winchester and feel he is a great fit for our department."

Lenore, who holds certifications from USA Weightlifting, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, is a 2010 James Madison graduate.
