Daily Staff Reports - sports@nvdaily.com

FOREST - Sophomore running back Andrew Smith has been named ODAC Offensive Player of the Week in selections announced Sunday afternoon by the league office.

Smith led the Hornets to a 36-35 come-from-behind victory over previous league leader Hampden-Sydney with a program-record 357 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns.

In addition to those three scores, Smith had the two-point conversion with 47 seconds remaining that held up as the winning points.

His record-setting day included 152 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, 95 yards and one touchdown receiving and 110 yards in kick returns.

Smith's rushing touchdowns were 1 and 3 yards while his receiving TD went for 57 yards.

This is the second time this season that Smith has been named ODAC PoW. He earned his first award on October 6 following the SU victory over Bridgewater.

Shenandoah is back in action on Saturday in a 1:00 ODAC contest at Randolph-Macon.
