Rain forces some football postponements

The continuing steady rainfall has prompted some postponements for Friday night's area high school football schedule.
Warren County's home game against Manassas Park has been pushed back to Monday. Start time is now 6:30 p.m.
Skyline's road game against Washington (W.Va.) will now be played on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
Sherando's road game against James Wood has also been pushed back to Monday. Game time is 7 p.m. As a result of the Monday game, the Warriors have also pushed back their Oct. 18 home game against Handley to Saturday, Oct. 19. Game time is 7 p.m.
Three area games are still on for tonight. Strasburg hosts Bull Run District rival George Mason in a 7:30 p.m. contest, and Central hosts Bull Run District foe William Monroe in a 7:30 p.m. game. Both are homecoming games.
Stonewall Jackson's road game against Shenandoah District rival East Rockingham is also still on for Friday night. Game time is 7 p.m. in Elkton.
Two other games scheduled for Saturday are still on tap. Massanutten Military Academy hosts Fishburne Military School in a 1:30 p.m. game, and Randolph-Macon Academy hosts Hargrave Military Academy in a 2 p.m. contest.
