LYNCHBURG - Top-seeded Lynchburg College ended Shenandoah University's women's soccer season with a 6-0 win Tuesday night in the ODAC Tournament semifinals.
LC (20-1) scored three goals in each half to dispatch SU (11-8-1).
Lynchburg, which is ranked No. 11 in the nation in the latest NSCAA.com poll, got all of the offense it would need in the 18th minute on a Jenn Synder tally.
The hosts then added goals in the 21st and 27th minutes to take the 3-0 lead into the half.
The second half brought more of the same, with the victors scoring twice in the 65th minute before closing it out with a goal at 82:24 to provide the final margin of victory.
Shenandoah goalkeeper Erin Septer, who faced 36 shots, made 18 saves in the losing effort.
LC also had a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
