2013 All-Area Volleyball Team

FIRST TEAM

• Michelle Baker, Sherando

The junior was fourth on the team with 92 kills and second on the team with 48 blocks, helping lead the Warriors to a 10-10 record. Baker was one of two Warriors to be named a first-team all-Northwestern District selection.

• Carol Bartholomew, SVCA

The junior led the Patriots with a team-high 176 kills. Bartholomew also finished the season with 21 blocks. She helped lead the Patriots to a 23-2 record and an appearance in the VACA state tournament.

• Allison Bromley, Strasburg

The senior led the area with 372 kills, and she also finished the year with 17 blocks, 29 aces and 128 digs to help lead the Rams to a 10-12 record. Bromley was a first-team all-Bull Run District selection.

• Megan Reinhardt, Skyline

The senior was third in the area with 479 digs, and she led the Hawks with 29 aces. Reinhardt also finished with 41 kills. The libero was a first-team all-Conference 21 selection as well as a first-team all-3A East Region pick.

• Kelsey Singhas, Sherando

The sophomore led the Warriors with 178 kills. Singhas also had 17 blocks, 19 aces and 63 digs. She was a first-team all-Northwestern District selection and a second-team all-Conference 21 pick.

• Allison Singleton, Stonewall Jackson

The senior led the Generals with 188 kills, 24 blocks and 33 aces. She also proved to be a capable defender, leading the team with 163 digs. Singleton was a first-team all-Shenandoah District selection.

• Autumn Troxell, Warren County

The junior was third in the area with 267 kills, and she also added 91 blocks, 23 aces and 125 digs for the Wildcats. Troxell was a first-team all-Bull Run District selection and a first-team all-Conference 28 pick.

• Ellie Wheelock, SVCA

Wheelock guided the Patriots to a 23-2 record and an appearance in the VACA state tournament. SVCA began the season 19-0 and didn't lose a set in its first 16 matches.
