Prep roundup: Cooper's 28 not enough for Falcons in road loss

MADISON -- Central High School's Travis Cooper scored a game-high 28 points, but Madison County still pulled off a 64-54 victory in Bull Run District boys basketball action Wednesday.

Cooper drained four of the Falcons' eight 3-pointers in the game. Richard Neff (15 points) hit a trio of treys for Central (3-2, 3-1 Bull Run).

Matt Temple tallied 22 points to lead the Mountaineers. Bobby Ford chipped in 16 points and James Graves had 14 for Madison County (3-1, 1-2 Bull Run).

Postgraduate boys basketball

Fork Union 56, Massanutten Academy 54

FORK UNION -- Massanutten Academy's postgraduate boys basketball team dropped a 56-54 decision to Fork Union Military Academy on Wednesday.

Massanutten stayed within two points despite not getting any minutes from its top two players, Rutgers University-bound forward D.J. Foreman and University of Hawaii signee Isaac Fleming.

Raquan Brown-Johnson led the Colonels with 17 points. De'Shar Wilson-Thomas added 14 points and Fa'teem Glenn chipped in eight points for Massanutten.
